The Journey with a Mindful Empowerment Guide
“It takes a village.” Women often hear this phrase when they are raising their babies, and it’s true, but a village is needed throughout your whole life, not just during motherhood. Bond are formed early and often with the people around us. Some of those bonds last a lifetime, while others come and go depending on the phase of life. Just when you adapt to the chaos of life, the universe throws a curveball, hitting you smack dab on the jaw. Women often feel alone and isolated when wading waist-deep through the newest problem. A mindful empowerment guide can help push through the muck and help hold you above the rising water.
A mindful empowerment guide, also known as a women’s empowerment coach or life coach, is like a friend who will never leave you on 'read'. Think of the guide as a mentor; this isn’t just a friendship - it’s a soulship. A connection formed to lift you up from the deepest level, the soul. She is there to listen to all of your fears and frustrations, providing support and kindness as you tackle your everyday challenges. Whether it's an argument with family to big life decisions, she’s there to cheer you on and guide you to the next step.
Empowerment coaches, or guides, craft a personalized plan to give you all the tools needed to boost your self-confidence and improve your self-image. Guides use their expertise to keep you accountable and help you grow personally. Whether you’re ready to break free from people-pleasing habits or you're on a mission to discover your life's purpose, guides are there to support you every step of the way.
So what does an empowerment guide do, and how can they help in your life? Let's dive into how a guide can be a game-changer for you.
What is a Mindful Empowerment Guide?
When I was figuring out what to call the practice I'm creating, I was encouraged to say that I am a Women’s Empowerment Coach. I’ve done some coaching in my life. I’ve been involved in a successful MLM coaching program where I helped people with their health and fitness. I’ve also coached preschoolers in gymnastics and led my daughters’ recreational teams. But honestly, what I’m doing now doesn’t feel like those past coaching gigs. Calling myself a 'coach' feels a bit too intense—cue the image of my high school basketball coach shouting from the sidelines.
What I do as a Mindful Empowerment Guide is just that. I guide you on your journey to self-discovery. This soulship requires us to team up and work together to explore your potential, figure out the life you want, and create a plan to empower you through growth and knowledge.
Guides can help women figure out why they might feel like they've lost themselves, develop new skills, and set realistic steps to get through difficult times. They offer support, keep you on track, and give helpful feedback for better self-awareness.
Many coaches use a mixture of techniques like active listening, asking thoughtful questions, and giving personalized advice to empower their clients to connect with their inner self when moving through life. This helps them to take control of the chaos and make real changes. Just like a coach, a guide also uses these strategies, but they're like a friend who helps you live your best life. Guides bring an energy of inspiration and excitement, acting as a launching pad for your next big dream.
Being a guide is all about personal experience. Have you heard the saying, “those who can’t do, teach”? That's where the difference between coach and guide really shows. A coach can teach fundamentals and point out mistakes by watching. As a coach, I taught plenty of preschoolers how to do a cartwheel, even though I've never been able to do one myself. But as a guide, I've been in the trenches - I've had highs and lows and I came out on top. Having a guide who's faced their own challenges and found their way through it means they truly understand what you’re going through. The empathy and authenticity they bring to their work can lead to amazing changes for their clients.
What a Mindful Empowerment Guide is Not
A mindful empowerment guide isn't here to boss you around or tell you what is right or wrong. A guide will not judge or critique you; they're a safe place you can be yourself, be heard, and feel empowered to make your own choices.
Guides aren't therapists or counselors, and they're not licensed mental health professionals. Instead of digging into past trauma, they focus on the present, along with what you want for the future. While understanding that your past affects your life today, the goal of coaching is to figuring out where you are now and where you want to go next. An empowerment guide is a great match for someone who's in therapy or feels ready to take the next step.
How does a Mindful Empowerment Guide Help?
An empowerment guide can help you find success in both your personal and professional life. With a guide, you can step back from the daily grind and see things from a fresh angle, which helps you gain clarity and a stronger sense of purpose. They can help you tap into your unique strengths and potential, so you can tackle your journey with confidence.
Boosting Your Self-Image:
A mindful empowerment guide is great for revealing your toughest critic - you! A guide can help you switch up your self-talk, transforming you from your own worst critic into your biggest fan, giving you the confidence and purpose you need.
Finding clarity:
We all feel a bit lost sometimes. A guide can help you figure out the beliefs and roles in your life, helping you decide which ones to keep and which ones to let go of.
Shifting your mindset:
Dealing with challenges nonstop can make it tough to keep your mind in good shape. A mindful empowerment guide can give you the tools and resources to stay focused and positive, even when things get rough.
Managing stress:
While you can't completely get rid of stress, a guide can help you handle it better and provide the support you need to manage stress, so you can always be your best self.
Do you need a Mindful Empowerment Guide?
We all need a friend now and then, but do you really need a special guide to boost your confidence? If you see yourself in any of these roles, a mindful empowerment guide might be just what you need to stop merely surviving and start thriving.
The Giver:
You pour all your energy into others and always put yourself last.
The Pleaser:
You go out of your way to make others happy, often ignoring your own feelings.
The Chameleon:
You tend to follow the crowd and struggle with making your own choices.
The Victim:
You feel like Murphy’s law is always after you, and if something can go wrong, it will.
The Imposter:
No matter your successes, you never feel good enough, smart enough, or experienced enough.
